Very rare, with wonderful inscription, signature, and date by Lee Strasberg. Lee Strasberg's private sessions at The Actors Studio were recorded for many years. From these hundreds of taped hours, Robert Hethmon produces a unique piece of theatre literature, revealing the nature of Strasberg's work and the function of the Studio itself. Trained by Boleslavsky and Ospenskaya at the American Laboratory Theatre, Lee Strasberg went on to found the Actors Studio in New York, develop the 'Method acting style, and train such talents as Marlon Brando, James Dean, Montgomery Clift, Julie Harris, Paul Newman, and many others.
